Program Description
Covered Activity
Taking part in the play or practice of an intercollegiate sport. Such play or practice must be under the direction and immediate supervision of a regularly employed coach, trainer or other official designated by the Plan Sponsor’s athletic department or while traveling as a team member of a group to or from such activity. Such travel must be under the direction and supervision of a coach, trainer or other official designated by the Plan Sponsor.
Core Benefits $90,000 Maximum Benefit Amount
- Reasonable and Customary covered medical expenses paid at 100% after the deductible
- Two (2) Year Benefit Period
- No aggregate limit for medical expenses
- Coverage for “repetitive motion injuries” resulting from the play, practice or conditioning of intercollegiate sports. Injuries such as strains, sprains, hernia, tennis elbow, tendonitis, bursitis, and muscle tears.
- Dental Expenses included in overall policy maximum limits.
- Physical Therapy Expenses included in overall policy maximum limit.
- Coverage for injuries resulting from a Heart or Circulatory Malfunction.
- Coverage to include the re-injuring and/or aggravation of an injury which occurred prior to the effective date of the Insured Person’s coverage under the Policy or which occurred during the policy term and such injury was not fully resolved at the time of re-injury.
- Reducing deductible met by benefits paid by other plans
- Coverage for expenses denied or reduced by an HMO or PPO because of non-compliance with their rules.
- The initial expense must be incurred within 180 days of the Injury.
- Access to countrywide PPO networks. No requirement to use PPO providers, but if used, significant reduction in claims costs may be achieved.
- Full claims and underwriting services without intermediaries.
- Dedicated claims representative assigned to your institution.

- Corridor Deductible – Deductible amount in addition to amounts paid by other plans.
